The Northern Lights have been spotted in Hartlepool tonight.

I have never seen the Northern Lights. Never. Not even a hint of ‘could that be it?’.
Nor have I ever seen the stars making up signs of the zodiac or whatever it is they’re meant to depict.

People are posting photos on Twitter, of the Northern Lights over Sheffield.
I've just been outside to have a look.
And I can't see any sign of them.
The most exciting thing I could see was the Big Dipper.

Taken by one of my mum's friends in Essex. Essex! Usually way too far south to get a shimmer of aurora.
