This thread is to be devoted to our feelings and reactions to specific times of the week, as they arise.

I am currently enjoying the very early Friday afternoon ambience. It's not quite early enough to stop doing any work, but it soon will be. And meanwhile I have all the anticipation of the weekend, and none of the hangovers.

For me, Mondays are an entire experience on their own.

A queasy, meandering rollercoaster of disquieting sensations and horrors and gradually increasing contentments and ultimately a soothingnesses.

It's my religiously and rigorously observed 'day off'.

There is a 'sweet spot' however.

Generally between 8pm and 11pm.

After that it's all just...

Incidentally, it doesn't feel at all like a Saturday.

More like a Wednesday.

It is now the good part of Sunday. Last night's alcohol has worn off and the aroma of coffee is in the air, along with thoughts about fetching newspapers.

1 minute to three. There is 1 minute of the good part of Sunday left.

It is now the bad part of Sunday.

It's that depressing post bath Sunday night back to school tomorrow I cannot face.

I've just logged into my work email and I feel all businesslike.

Let the horror begin.

I'm working quite visibly and making progress, but in my heart I know it's still Monday, and that by tea-time, even though I can stop working, there will still be many days before the weekend.

However, for such thoughts there is vodka.

I don't mean I'm going to drink vodka now btw

Drunken writers and drunken artists and drunken musicians get more creative.

Drunken programmers just don't want to program.

Something exciting almost happened, but it was just a delivery to the wrong address. Now I've got all this stuff for someone called Ryan, who apparently lives right here in this flat. This is too much to deal with so early in the week.

It's that early Saturday time when I'm working out what needs doing at the storage unit.

I won't spend long there today cos I don't want to get caught in the Zarnichester Christmas shopping traffic.

It's that specific time of the week/day when I think it's about 10:30am and then stare in horrified astonishment at the clock.
