I'm not sure, but I think Billy Murray('s Character) is supposed to be funny, not creepy.

Yep, he's just a jerk and sleazes all over the noble Sigourney Weaver who depressingly falls for his bullshit once he gets famous.

In fairness to him he does seem to be a jerk and a sleazy creep in real life however.

Re: What's in your Christmas eyeballs?
I watched Where Eagles Dare with my dad yesterday, while I was finalising my 'A1 Diversion, east and west' strip maps.
It had so many advert breaks that it lasted 3 hours 10 minutes.
I'd forgotten that not only has 3 female characters - unusual in itself for a war film - but that it passes the Bechdel test, ie two of them have a conversation that is about something other than a man (spying/special operations in this case).

So did I.
It's quite intense isn't it.
A lot for a kid to wrap their head around.

I think that's the one with Jon Pertwee as a comedy vampire.

Of course. Earlier this week I was trying to think what film it was that showed Moses parting the Red Sea. I remember seeing this scene and the burning bush when I was a child. I was thinking it was Jesus of Nazareth with Robert Powell.
