I wish I could find the video where Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall tried to see whether it's possible to make slugs as 'tasty' as snails.

The thing that I remember taking away with me when I saw it was a massive and renewed respect for the slug, insofar as it is a truly, objectionably repulsive and as tough as boots made from actual slug hide b*sket of a creature.

Like a snail, but a tramp.

Not even renting.

When I had a garden I waged ruthless war on slugs. Slugs aren't vegetables man! They should be wiped out!
