When I had a cleaning job for a couple of months, I was paired up with a woman who wore lilac eyeshadow (weirdly, and even less flatteringly, without any eyeliner or mascara), frosted pink lipstick, and a strange and very shiny brown and grey wig. She had her own selection of animal print tabards, and even when she was out of sight you could hear her marching around the building in her Dr Scholls. She was, needless to say, a complete c***.

Coloured eyeshadow is generally a very bad idea.
For ten years, I struggled along with the passport picture from hell. When passing through Boots to use the photo booth, I was waylaid by a sales girl who practically forced me to allow green eyeshadow to be applied to 'match your eyes'. The passport office must've thought they were looking at a Pat Butcher impersonator.
There are only three acceptable choices - naturals/tans/golds etc, black and smokey (or varying shades of ashy grey depending on colouring/season/look, or nothing.
