Almost half of Fairport Convention/Fotheringay appear at the CND benefit gig scene from the extremely reactionary 1982 Lewis Collins/S.A.S. promotion movie Who Dares Wins.

That is indeed a truly awful reactionary film, it makes The Fourth Protocol look like the Battleship Potemkin by comparison.

Yes, CND are a front for a pseudo Baader-meinhof terrorist group...

Oh, yes, no films actually starring musicians.

I've often wondered if the people portraying the 'Flowerpots' (?) performing at the Stoat's Hollow festival in Carry On Camping might have been a real pub band of the era.

When I first saw Lannister Sheeran I didn't know who he was, I was just annoyed by the other soldier who drones on about ravens and girls and their 'papas' in a weird mid-Atlantic way.
But when I understood what was really going on with this stunt casting I was ready to unleash an Arya Stark style interstitial killing spree on everyone involved. Like someone would just be thinking about putting the DVD of that episode on, and before they'd pressed Close, their head would have been sliced off.

TBTD is a strange case insofar as it's Wendi's favourite film it combines both starring roles and a degree of anonymity band-wise.
Not strictly allowed, but I'll let it pass.

Actually, on reflection, this was against thread roles.
Claptout is playing a role.
I may as well've'd included Tina Ternor, Elton and even Ann Margret.
My bad.
