27 degrees predicted today but next week is expected to be much cooler.

Gosh I had a hot journey yesterday. It was cool in Glasgow at 9am, but by the time I got to Carlisle at 11 it was warming up, and from Exelby truck stop* onwards it was hot. 32 C by the time I got to Essex.

*I don't drive a truck, I just stop there for petrol for my car.

It is a beautiful morning here in Essex though. Not a cloud in the sky, and a cool breeze. Which I fear will turn into a sirocco of heat later.
