No, I don't think so, it's just a very Buttertubs-ey model of car and year.

A bit too "flash" for me. I'm more beige Escort L with cloth seats, no radio and windows with manual winders. 
That said, I'd guess it's the sporty Escort XR3i.
Although Reliant are most famous for their three wheelers, they did make the sporty four-wheeled Reliant Scimitar, of which Princess Anne owned several examples, including convertible versions.

How pretentious she is. It's not even as if it's feasibly a childhood memory. She probably drives herself around rural roads in it, giving modest little waves to people she thinks have recognized her.

I'm not sure I'd call owning a Morris Traveller pretentious; there are somewhat flashier cars out there. I can remember them still being around in the 80s.

Hmmm. Faux modesty from multimillionaire celebrities isn't a trait I rate. VW camper vans and hearses are in the same category I think. I had to complain to my bank about a hearse parked outside that was advertising 'Flame Grilled Steak'. They had it towed.
She could have a vintage Bentley with a bar in the back.
Coincidentally, this evening when I got home I was frustrated with Newsnight so I turned to an old article about Dusty Springfield. I think it's my all time favourite story about a star - driving through Mayfair at midnight, stoned and wearing dark sunglasses she hit a pedestrian and was obviously charged. She tried to counter sue on the grounds that this woman had dented the bodywork of her favourite car.
On stars - I also meant to say to you weeks ago - I've lately (since 2017) become a huge admirer of Cilla and I regret speaking badly of her when she died. A pro.
