Concept credited to Vivian Stanshall

Conceptually, it doesn't sound very Viv Stanshall.

Getting quite Steve Stills/Manassas now.

I fear that this is going to be 70% a blues-rock jam.

Rebop sounds like he's playing the congas under a table.

It's no "Dream Gerard" this.

Re: Jim Capaldi - Whale Meat Again (1974)
There's conspicuous lack of lyrics such as "I scream from a skull - Fritz, bring your wigwam".

It is over.
It was competent enough but not distinctive enough to be able to fully justify its existence.
Now to look back at the thread and see what everybody else made of it.

That was a very sweet and charming coda that was.

Re: Jim Capaldi - Whale Meat Again (1974)
Anyroad...
It were an album that was never exactly rubbs, but rarely gained enough momentum to sustain an assault on the memory.
There was a 1/3 of record that was genuinely good (about 1/2 of the way through), but the copybook was spoilt somewhat by the fairly lazy, dull trundle of the final main song.
Still, it was nice, mostly.

I think his next album is much better, but I forgot about it.

In olden times, when people were poor they only could afford whale meat to eat.
