Inorganic or Organic?
Re: Girls Aloud - Chemistry (2005)
I'm telling you, man.
Booze is a terrible thing.
Every time we do one these commentaries (y'know, not all that often) I have my first drink at about 6:59pm and about half an hour later, despite the fact I've been slagging off the whole record until that point, I start to enjoy it for the last 10-15 minutes.

It is over.
It was competent and bouncy enough but it sounded like it was sung by robots and every video felt like it starred robots.
Now to look back at the thread and see what everybody else made of it.

I am.
This like a US telly show theme tune.

Booze is an amazing thing.
Like ecstasy, but way more expensive and lasts for about 1/5 of the time.

Re: Girls Aloud - Chemistry (2005)
The production was a thing of wonder, and the pop hooks exceptional, very formulaic, but in a good way, like prime Motown, but better obviously and very of its time. And completely hollow. But we all knew that anyway didn't we?
Little black star off for the ballads

Re: Girls Aloud - Chemistry (2005)
Really, genuinely, in actuality, that was awful.
I never disliked GA - I thought "Sound(s?) of the Underground" was good old fashioned pop fun - and hoped that this would be, at the very least, be frothy albeit slightly shonky, fun.
Instead it was really horrible.
Ugly, harsh, obnoxious production propping up remarkably weak songs.

I suggested either the Four Tops or Stevland Morris earlier and you bluntly vetoed them in favour of this.
You'z be trollin', brah.

It'd be nice to do that one I did the cover art for.
Not that anyone's going to upload it to U-Toob or anything.
No one's that insane.
