On reflection I have come to conclusion that the plasma piano isn't really a musical instrument of distinction at all.
Instead it is a very very silly musical instrument indeed.
Basically, it's cost a tonne of £¥£$£$£¥£ and an interminable amount of time to build, all the while being a more-or-less constant threat to life and limb and ultimately all it does is make a sound like something from an 8-bit video game.
