Choco-well or Choco-Hell?
Chocomel!
Every time I switch on the telly, I'm bombarded by ads for Chocomel which is one of those things that didn't used to seem to exist but now it does. It would appear to be chocolate-flavoured milk sold in a tin. Maybe it's just me but the words, "chocolate-flavoured," "milk," and, "tin," all in the same sentence fill me with a sense of foreboding even greater than the combination of the words, "pizza," "pineapple," and, "microwave."
However, you may love the continental, brown liquid treat.
Here's where you can have your say, either way.

I hadn't heard of it before this thread, but it looks nice enough. I like any kind of flavoured milk and milkshakes anyway. Milk is yummy.

Re: Chocomel!
I have never heard of it before until Wendi mentioned it the other day.
BTW - "chocolate-flavoured" is distinctly better than "chocolate-flavour".
Also, IMO, I'd say that that's a can rather than a tin.
Baked beans come in a tin, soft drinks and booze come in a can.

Re: Chocomel!
I think we should all buy a 'tin' of it and simultaneously drink it like when we do a commentary and simultaneously share our experiences.

Re: Chocomel!
It’s fabulous. But my son goes through a whole carton before I get to it. Occasionally there are some drips and dregs left over.

Re: Chocomel!
I’ve never bought it in a tin can. It comes in a large carton version…

Re: Chocomel!
I don't like sweet drinks. Apart from gin & orange.

Re: Chocomel!
It’s not particularly sweet. It’s decent chocolate, and therefore not sickly sweet. Also, it’s Dutch, and therefore not formulated to syrupy sugary British tastes.

Another of his essentials, recently hiked in price, which I also like (and therefore tend to hide a bottle for my own exclusive use)…

His cans of pamplemousse La Croix have to be bought on Amazon. They arrive x48 at a time. I find it rather insipid.
Thankfully, he’s completely anti bottled water, and strictly tap only (with the typical of his generation exception for himself, of the above flavoured sparkling La Croix) - complete with withering looks for anyone like his grandmother who buys branded bottled. So we save money there.

Re: Chocomel!
I can’t really complain about his highly specific tastes. As a child, my grandparents had to import Compal pear nectar from Portugal for me to drink, in pre internet days when doing such things was harder. And that did come in tins rather than cans. Thick metallic - no flimsy can aluminium, with a lid on top that was quite hard to get into.
