The lights in the loft weren't working though. That means faffing around with a worklight looking for loose connections. Not how I wanted to spend my week off
Re: ChristmasWatch
The tree is up, decorated and illuminated. The red and green tinsel is on the bannisters and the jingly bell thing is in the porch.
The ceiling star and kitchen teatowels will have to wait till tomorrow.

The ceiling star and Twelve Days of Christmas/snowman tea towels are now in place.
The house is at maximum festivity.

Re: ChristmasWatch
I had to go to town this morning, but it wasn't as annoyingly crowded as I expected. I even managed to buy something from Boots without queuing up for 3 hours. Mind you, it was only 9.30.

Re: ChristmasWatch
It does seem quiet, for the second to last Saturday before xmas, maybe people are being scared off by the cold? :cold:

Re: ChristmasWatch
The only shops I've been in in the last week are The Works and Poundland. Poundland was of normal busyness but the aisles of The Works were quite crowded.

The decorations have been taken down and are back in the loft. And I didn't forget the jingly bell thing from the porch, or the Christmas teatowels from the kitchen.

Re: ChristmasWatch
I didn't have any decorations up. I like to feel that I taught Christmas a lesson.

Re: ChristmasWatch
I lost my Christmas decorations and I only have two Santa Claus candles left. I can't use them because, if I light them, they'll melt and stop looking like Santa Claus.

You lost them?
Like you put them up in the loft this time last year and couldn't find them again when you went to look in December?
