Continuation of the splendid thread of the same name from the OHOTW.

The thread title reads like a high street sprout emporium competing in an already competitive sprout market.


I'm going start my own thread called SproutsDirect.  

As ever, I don't adore sprouts - and for me to actually like them they have to practically be boiled to a soft mush and covered in gravy - but I have them and usually quite like them when done right.

I forgot to get the sprouts on the boil last week, they'll never be ready for Christmas!

I shall probably have 5-10 sprouts with my Christmas dinner. Assuming Fanmum 3 cooks them again this year.

I always have sprouts for my Christmas dinner.

Then again, I have them with lots of non-Christmas dinners too.

They're more convenient than peas. They don't roll under my fridge/cooker/washing machine when I drop them whilst trying to get them on my plate.

Well, it looks like sprouts 4 us.

This must be the only forum in the world with a poll that has a 100% acceptance of sprouts.

I'm looking forward to my sprouts already

The question is if you'll be having sprouts, not if you like sprouts.

I have no sprouts in the house. The only vegetables in my possession right now are mushrooms.

Mildew in the bathroom doesn't count as vegetables.

I too possess no sprouts. I'm counting on being served some at dinner at my parents' tomorrow.

We are having steamed salted broccoli to start, followed by roasted chicken breast with salad drizzled in fresh lemon juice, followed by a selection of fruit. Mango, kiwi, raspberries - that kind of thing - my brother is taking care of that because he lives near the Edgware Road and Arabs do lavish fruit platters very well.

No sprouts because we don't eat things we don't like, regardless of traditions. A friend of mine once told me she was making something called 'bread sauce' because it was expected, although none of them liked it. It seemed to be a tradition for them to force it down while discussing how much they all hated it. It seemed very odd to me.
