It wasn't so long ago it was that against Mariah Carey for which was the most popular Christmas song in the charts. It does seem the newer generation have fallen out of love with it, due to its "problematic" lyrics.

As far as I can make out, there are currently 30 Christmas songs in the Top 100.
with the highest being Last Christmas by Wham! which is at Number Five.
Mariah is at Six.
