Miserable old housing estates of distinction
I have found this priceless archive of tower blocks and sink estates courtesy of the University of Edinburgh's Tower Block project.
It is awesome.

Every single photo they have is so unutterably depressing that it's positively thrilling.

I didn't.
I referred to the pictures as Brummy, as in they are pictures of housing estates and tower blocks in Birmingham.

I have seen and used this website before. There are some excellent photos; I believe every British tower block was photographed by this person in the mid to late 80s who travelled around the entire UK in their little red Fiat Uno - as seen on some of the photos. That photo of Eve Hill in Dudley above is one of my favourites (Butterfield Court is on the right). You also get to see lots of nice 70s and 80s cars.

I think that photo I've posted several times of a tower block in Sheffield and a brown Mini Metro in the foreground was from this website!

He's labelled a photo of Claywood Flats as being Norfolk Park.

Still, it's a good excuse to raid the website it of its best photos.
Here's the aforementioned little red Fiat Uno obviously owned by the photographer that is seen in many of the photos abound the country, this time next to I believe Kipling and Byron Houses, built in fields on the outskirts of Halesowen. I went to see them being demolished in 1999.
On the horizon you can see Butterfield Court and the identical other two at Eve Hill in Dudley.
