I've had a brandy-infused mince pie. And now I'm having a glass of sherry.

Interestingly, I didn't have another glass of sherry. It's almost as if having such a large amount of drink in the house has encouraged me to be more moderate. Maybe it's only when I've got about twice as much as I should drink in one go that I'm tempted.

In the end I just had two more sherries as an aperitif for my tea, and then the Meursault. There's still loads more sherry, gin and wine left. It's a Christmas miracle.
