So, where are we. "Qu££rs for P@lestine" - and more importantly 0w£n J0n£$ - have demanded that Olly Alexander pulls out of Eurovision due to Isr@el's participation. He has (so far) refused to do so.

With all these "qu££rs" supposedly boycotting Eurovision there'll be no one left to watch it or take part in it. The lead up to this contest is going to need a lot of boxes of popcorn. popcorn

I wish we could bring back the genteel days of Dana ~~International~~.

I've got a really horrible feeling about this year's contest. It's like just the worst mix of modern day political fallout and "queer" propaganda. I just want a wholesome experience where there are people of all types who all get on without having to shout about something. Sort of like this forum.

I’ve heard (and can well imagine) that is excruciating. You’re basically having your face smashed in and rebuilt, the bones shaved down and pinned. Bad enough if you’ve been in a very serious accident and require it, but to undergo it willingly - I think I almost admire it.

Apparently Korean plastic surgery with a facial reconstructive element has quite a high death rate. Not because it’s not good enough - it’s a very high standard in surgical technique, hygiene, look, everything. It’s just that it’s inherently a dangerous thing to be doing.

The K pop boyband look - I can see the appeal. Very pretty, delicate faces. But the pain! Oh my god, the pain, the blood, the complications - as I say, I almost admire anyone with the guts not to leap off the anaesthesia table. I feel faint just typing this post about it.

At the end of the broadcast, the Italian national broadcaster RAI revealed (accidentally) the results of the Italian televote. Israel won the Italian televote by an absolute landslide, followed by the Netherlands in second place and Albania in third.
