Family astonished to find fox on top of microwave

A family were taken aback to find a fox curled up asleep on their microwave as they came downstairs for breakfast one morning.

Kim Fryer, from Mitcham in south London, explained that her daughter found the furry creature early in the morning on December 15 after it came through the cat flap.

I thought foxes were supposed to be cunning.

But really this is just a 'stupid burglar falls asleep on the job' story, involving a fox.

Nice that a fox (or maybe a cat?) has taken to using the lawn as a toilet.  fox

I had to clean up about five separate.... "deposits" a couple of days ago, only for more to return the next morning. Colbert

Just to be pedantic, it doesn't look very "stuck" to me.

Two-legged fox filmed walking in garden in Derbyshire; video goes viral all around the world. fox

A family were stunned to find a fox with just two legs in their garden.

Phil and Jane Carter, from Ilkeston in Derbyshire, often get visited by foxes and this one stayed for about 45 minutes.

Mr Carter said: "My wife shouted, 'quick, grab your phone, we've got a two-legged fox on the lawn'.

"We had about five minutes of it going around the lawn smelling and picking up some meat and then off it went like a rocket."

A spokesperson for Derbyshire Wildlife Trust said: "We've never seen anything like this in the wild before but the animal looks relatively healthy and appears to have adapted to life on two legs."

‘Meat on the lawn’. What kind of family are they where the fox would find meat lying about on the lawn? My inner Hyacinth has been activated.

I thought that, then I decided they probably put meat out for the foxes.

I’m glad they aren’t my neighbours. They’ve probably attracted rats and all sorts of things, to dine out on the entrails and flesh scattered about their garden.

But I know where you live, CT.

I know where you live. Demon

jk flirty

Anyway, you'd have to be throwing beef wellington scraps, confit duck bits and carved strips of doner meat out of a 4th story window onto a narrow square with a diminutive communal garden lined with Bentleys and Porsche SUVs and then, when your neighbours came out in the morning there'd be hell to pay.
