| For all those celebrities who never quite were. They showed a bit of (perhaps forced) promise, then fizzled out as quickly as they appeared. Anna WalkerTo me she seemed like a "new" 90s Anneka Rice. I think I only really remember her from Wish You Were Here, but I felt sure she was going to be big. Then she vanished. Steve PenkI'd completely forgotten about this over the top bloke until I saw him the other day on a Lily Savage Blankety Blank on Challenge, from 2000. He practically exploded onto Saturday night TV in the late 90s, from the radio I think, and I'm sure ITV hoped he'd be the next Noel Edmonds or Jeremy Beadle or something. Once again, after a couple of years he was gone, probably pushed out by Ant & Dec. |

| Oh yes. Alice Beer was surely destined for Anne Robinson's job, but never quite achieved it. |

| I was just thinking about Jill Dando. She'd become a new national TV favourite shortly before her death, and would probably still be on TV today as one of the BBC's highest-paid presenters, presenting Question Time, or Strictly or something. She was apparently lined up to present the BBC's Millennium coverage, but didn't quite make it. EDIT: Oh my, nearly 20 years ago. |

Anne Robinson seems to have disappeared, maybe they don't let her into the BBC as her face doesn't match her pass anymore? |

| Actually, it's quite interesting how these radio stations have changed ownership names etc over the years. All while still playing the same bland Annie Lennox/Adele wallpaper-a-phon snoozefests.

You can understand why they're so terrified of Spotify. Probably. |

| Bob Mills of Win, Lose Or Draw and In Bed With Me Dinner "fame". I absolutely hated him at the time but I think he was promoted in the 90s as a sort of alternative to Jonathan Ross but never got there and vanished without trace. I notice he's now on Talk Radio, about twice the size than he used to be. |

| Just the title of IBWMD annoyed me so much that I hoped everyone connected with it would die. _________________ ' "Haven't got houses." Where do they live then?'

| I also knew that. It was the main thing I hated about it. _________________ ' "Haven't got houses." Where do they live then?'
