The forum in which all human experience resides. Especially for fans of the now-deceased original Hall of the Wendigo. Still Number One with the core demographic.
There's a bl*nking hecilopter buzzing directly overhead and it's ruining my telly reception.
In fact, there's been at least one hecilopter buzzing overhead all day.
You'd think it was something serious like all burgliars in masks and stripy jumpers running about and hiding in wheelie-bins and and a general warning from rozzers in hi-viz jerkins and stuff.
But if you go on the internet or the local news or anything there's no mention of anything dramatic happening whatsoever.
If my TV reception's going to be disrupted I demand that any one (or all) of the the following must've'd've happened:
1) At least one person to have been killed. 2) At least two people fighting for their lives. 3) At least five people to be seriously injured. 4) At least ten people to require hospital treatment. 5) At least twenty people to have minor cuts and/or bruises. 6) At least fifty people to have been badly shaken up. 7) At least one hundred people to be badly inconvenienced. 8) At least five hundred people to have been mildly inconvenienced. 9) At least one thousand people to have been only very very slightly inconvenienced. 10) Everyone to be completely OK and entirely un-inconvenienced to the extent that nothing happened and nobody noticed anything.

They can be very annoying. When the police in Sheffieldshire first got one, they'd hover low over people's houses, in the early hours of the morning, shining a searchlight directly at the windows and getting on everyone's nerves.
They got a whole mountain of complaints and, eventually, were made to stop it.

It's still buzzing overhead.
Clearly my comments about burglars hiding in wheelie-bins and police in hi-viz jackets wasn't all that far off the mark.

One of the 'armed men' did a handstand on the roof!

I can only suppose that they're still up there.

I hate the police helico-pter (spiral wing), and track all the annoyances it causes me in a spreadsheet. There's a pattern of 2-day incidents, so I always dread the first time I hear it after a gap, cos I know it'll be back tomorrow.
I always put Police and Thieves on when it happens.
