Re: The gorgeous interiors thread
Yes, I can see why it has been tentatively suggested, and I have done that with newspapers. I only just managed to fling an open Guardian down in time to save my favourite Persian rug when I turned round from mixing a drink to find my guest reaching a premature conclusion.

All this talk of spiders is making me quite peckish.

Is it a dressing room? Seats without backs just don't work in practice.

Well, you're a little younger than me I seem to recall. It won't be long before backless seating seems like more trouble than it's worth.

Re: The gorgeous interiors thread
Randomly, the room seems to be perfectly set up to fit a pole in the middle, in fact not far off one of those old peeping booths in Soho.
One could always bring in a chair with a back y''know, and have the central seating reserved for your young lover(s) or muse to be sprawled out over to pose or eat grapes etc etc.
I do like the colour scheme more than anything, plus a sucker for that oriental detailing. I might plaster-render and then paint the side of my house in those colours and design. I've got a little bit of a shade, nook garden thing I'm also putting together so I think it would look rather lovely!

Something something you could imagine Buck Rogers doing a dump in that...

They're just the right side of tacky. I think they look absolutely great. Although, perhaps no longer.

Smart, easy to keep clean, and wouldn't show up every little smudge. I'd have them.

I really want the two matching chairs, and that blue and white ceramic stand.
