I read that. Who made the wooden stake? It didn't say. Was a dinosaur using it to give support to something being cultivated in its garden? There was no mention of what the stake was for or where it came from.

Why you don't see those animatronic dinosaurs in shopping centres, and the like, anymore.

I didn't know that there were animatronic dinosaurs in shopping centres, let alone that they're in decline.

I feel like I'm living in a smart-arse novel written in 1983 about the dystopian Britain of 2023.

We just had pools and fountains - some with koi karp - in our shopping centres - all gone and replaced with generic seating areas and such.

I remember a triceratops appearing in Orchard Square at one point.

And there were, at one point in 1991, a bunch of animatronic dinosaurs living in the bowels of Ponds Forge swimming centre.

Orchard Square had robot crocodiles when it first opened. They are now long gone.
