What is a Supertramp anyway?
Re: Supertramp - Crime of the Century (1974)
It is over.
That was a very good album, aided and abetted by excellent production and playing, and benefiting from the fact that both Roger Hodgson and Rick Davies were on form in the songwriting department at the same time. Something that wasn't often true of Supertramp albums.
Now to look back at the thread and see what everyone else made of it.

It was maybe a bit too white polite for me. I'd have preferred something more Prog less Pop.

Supertramp had two frontmen; Roger Hodgson and Rick Davies. They both wrote, sang and played keyboards. Hodgson also played guitar.WhatDoesThisButtonDo? wrote:The Call of the Wendigo wrote:Was this the last song Roger Hodgson and Rick Davies ever co-wrote together?
I don't know who any of these people are.
Roger Hodgson was the one who looked like Jesus, sounded like Roddy McDowall and sang virtually all their hits.
Rick Davies was the other one, who sounded like Boz Scaggs.
They had a somewhat fractious relationship and, by the time they went in to record Breakfast in America, they were barely on speaking terms, even when they were recording together.
The last I heard, their feud is still ongoing.

Come to think of it, they both looked like Jesus.

As did the saxophonist.
Never did a band have so many members who looked like Jesus.

Re: Supertramp - Crime of the Century (1974)
Supertramp records do tend to get pulled on a regular basis.

Somebody was saying that like 20% of YouTube channels leave/get kicked off in a year.
Can't find that video now.

Rumour has it there's a dispute between Roger Hodgson and Rick Davies's wife that results in frequent Youtube removals.
