It's possibly the late '70s - punk/mod/ska revival influenced?
I can remember being at primary school around '78 and flares were fashion hara-kiri.

| The Braces look Ska/mod revival to me. Maybe I'm wrong, but wasn't that Mod stuff kicked off by 1979's Quadrophenia film? I sticking for circa 1981 for that picture, maybe earlier for when Nightjar was living, and it'll be about 2028 for Sheffield.  |
