A simple guide to B&O stuff:
1 - Looks awesome.
2 - Makes the rest of your flat look shite.
3 - Impossible to understand the instructions and subsequently a nightmare to install.
4 - When something breaks or goes wrong:
4a: most retro/vintage hi fi specialists will just say "no, we don't do B&O stuff, more trouble than it's worth, etc". 4b: Replacement rubber band costs £1400.

I quite fancied one of those double cassette things from the early 80s, but I've got enough decaying rubbish around here for a second third system anyway.

I've got two B&O hi-fi components.
One I know works (my beloved Beogram 1202) and another - the already documented Beocord 1900 - which I know works but which I (OB-VEE-ARSELY) have to buy yet more adaptor cables for to hear for real how it sounds through my ancient AKAI amp and weird 'what exactly are they Wharfdale speakers) and crumbly audio cables...

Beogram 1202 - £40, bought in 1998 from Portobello Market, by my Mum
Beocord 1900 - bought a few years ago off of eBay for £35. :loveme:

On reflection though, I should never have got rid of my Aiwa tape deck.
It was .
I think I idiotically misidentified an audible 'clicking' as a fault, whereas it would hove been sorted by one of those fancy tapes with a circuit board in.

We had Aiwa stuff at home. It lasted until my mother smashed it to pieces after my brother played loud music on it while she was asleep after working a long flight. It lasted for years, and was gone in seconds. I can hardly blame her, I’ve trashed similar myself, in my case I threw it onto the street. She just left it all in the middle of the living room floor with instructions that it better all be gone by the time she came back through.
Still got my old Sony cassette deck, doesn't work though. Not my pic. Pic is the mk1 I have the mk 2....not that I can see any difference apart from the power button.
