Back to lead up to running commentary anxiety.

I don't think I need to listen to that album again to score it.

Any other suggestions then.
I think it's arguably their best album BTW.

Re: The album running-commentary and general listening discussion thread. Part 4!
I've been trying to find albums to do but have found it difficult.
I wanted to do David Essex's 1st album but it's not on YouTube.
I wanted to do the Kiki Dee album that has Amoureuse on it but it's not on YouTube.
I wanted to do an Emiliani Torrini album but a glancing listen to a few of the tracks on it made it clear they were all mid-tempo.
I contemplated doing a Discounts album but a glancing listen to them all made it clear they weren't very interesting.
I got excited because it seemed like Alison Mosshart has a new solo album out, as she's been posting new songs on YouTube but it turns out she doesn't have a new solo album out and doesn't have any plans for one.

I can create a playlist if you want.
I know what you mean about albums, sometimes they can be GR8, but if all the songs are variations on one song, which can be fine, and make a good album, and in some cases, careers, but it doesn't make for a good Album Listening Experience.
Like that Young Ejecta album I changed my mind on.

Air On 'A' Tape Loop
https://www.discogs.com/master/view/90345- Spoiler:
Well, this LP is certainly a massive diversion from the Glam that Sweet are famous for.
Lead singles "California Nights" & "Love Is Like Oxygen" showcase a much more smooth, AOR sound. "Love Is Like Oxygen" in particular is very reminiscent of ELO.
As Hawkfum alludes to below, there's also an influence of Funk on the album too (thanks to "Strong Love"). I can't imagine many fans of Glam-era Sweet digging this though, much like some Queen fans didn't swallow Hot Space.
The ballads, however, are incredibly bland (no matter what your taste is). I can't actually stomach them all the way though. And the less said about "Anthem No. II" the better.
Around this period, Sweet appeared to be open to a lot of influences. They were clearly inspired by certain popular acts, and in some cases copied them quite blatantly. Which leads us to the final track on this LP, "Air On 'A' Tape Loop".
This, you could say, is Sweet's tribute to Pink Floyd (Meddle / Dark Side Of The Moon era). It's painfully obvious.
Don't pass it by, though. It's by far the most interesting track on the album thanks to some nice synth work and an almost Krautrock vibe.
If you don't fancy picking up the album just for this one track, you can grab the 12"

I think we should do it anyway, regardless of the missing first track.
