| Art galleries! They're boring! They have paintings in them that don't move!
And here's where we can discuss our favourite works of art in our local art galleries! _________________ |

| My local art galleries don't have anything interesting in them. _________________ |

| The National Gallery - Portrait of Cornelis van der Geest, by Anthony Van Dyke. It's quite a small portrait, located usually outside Van Dyke's dedicated room of Stuarts on horseback (with exquisite fingers), but it's absolutely hypnotic. Technical brilliance easily the equal of Velazquez. The glisten of the eye and lower lip is uncanny in its realisation. _________________ Ibble obble black bobble, ibble obble out!

| I refuse to enter the closest thing we have to an art gallery, on account of how they demolished the bus station to build it. _________________ ' "Haven't got houses." Where do they live then?'

| Gosh that was an interesting read, and a decidedly sinister one. _________________ ' "Haven't got houses." Where do they live then?'

| It was fab. A disturbing 24 hours, and with over a year of reflection later, I'm still not sure what I thought of it all. |

| Going back several years ago now, I also loved the earthquake at the Tate Modern, despite not expecting to find any value in it. I was there for about two hours lost in thought, while hypnotized by it... Another gallery exhibit that has stayed with me is the HIV positive nude (of incredible beauty and proportions) who slashed his wrists, after asking who wanted to volunteer to have their face ejaculated on, and another to clean it up. To see just how liberal the attendees were, regarding how close we would willingly go to blood and semen to offer physical help. That led to a very involved second half discussion group. |
