Whoa Nelly by Nelly Furtado. Apart from the singles, it was poor.

Well technically a Phillips demo disk that came with my first CD player as there were very few in the shops in 1983/4, the first album I bought was Level 42 - Level 42. It still plays and has not suffered from CD rot. https://cdm.link/2017/02/a-generation-of-cds-is-already-rotting-and-dying/

I was quite late to the CD revolution.
But I always found them more like hissless cassette than crackle free vinyl.

Queen - A Day At The Races , which I already had on tape, but bought in town during a cold-front shower on my way to collect my CD player from the sorting office, on Wednesday March 23rd 1988. It would have been getting on for 1pm.
