Well, perhaps it's one of those albums that deserves a casual background listen or two?

Sometimes stuff sinks in and you start to dig/get into it.

I wouldn't call it lacklustre or half-hearted at all, bit it does have a very bleak, sparse quality.

Do you people just prefer faster music?

Or, more accurately, do you people, when you're listening to music you've not heard before, feel more comfortable when a song a song just chugs away at a fair tempo?

And you can go or whilst staring at the egg-timer and dreaming of dippy soldiers?

You are bad people, do you know that?

I'm all in favour of slow songs - some of my best friends are slow songs - but if every song on an album's slow, it quickly becomes tedious.

Especially if they're long.
