This is a taste of the power and pomp and sensual omniscience that his later albums would deliver.
In spades.
In spades.

He doesn't mumble in an erotic reverie so much in the later albums.
He's more lucid.
He's clearer about the message he's trying to GET ACROSS.

I think this would work better with less vocals and more space for the groove to flow.

It is over.
That was very pleasant but every track was so padded out that it quickly became tiresome.
Now to look back at the thread and see what everybody else made of it.

Writing a song is very much like making love to a beautiful woman…

Very very good.
I'm Gonna Love You Just A Little More Baby is one of the most sampled and influential tracks of all time.
I will never ever ever EVER get bored of it.
The supposed naff renaissance of BW was a cr*ppy invention of white idiots like off of The Word in the '80s.
His work endures and improves with every preposterously OTT orchestral, production sartorial whimsy.
A Barry White song with an ultra-slow 9 minute orchestral intro, a 5 minute spoken section where Barry outlines the depth and intensity of his enduring and sensual love for (whoever the song's about) and then another 18 minutes of demented, crescendo-upon-crescendo harpooned walrus roaring to a soundtrack that'd make Wagner blush.
That's what I'm talking about.
That's what I want.
NOW!!

I also went ★★★☆☆
Of course a few years ago, I'd have no truck with this sort of overblown sentimental stuff, now I've changed. I've sold out. I'm now more of a lover.

BTW, this...
I'm not even sure it's his best of course.
But I had to post it because some idiot said that that was what the thread was all about.
