I guess it's a testament to what a lovely, beautiful song it is in the first place.
One of those songs that always works whoever's covering it.
It's a very faithful rendition.
No need to 'improve' on perfection.

It is over.
That was an exemplary record, slick, glossy, professional, immaculately arranged and performed and dancetastically showing their ability to pull off absolutely anything.
Now to look back at the thread and see what everybody else made of it.

GR8. Except the 2 songs I don't like,
what ya mean it sold over 2 million copies?
It's the children that are wrong.

I shall give it four stars, as I felt it needed an extra track on each side to make it sound like a full album and because the Voodoo song wasn't as good as the others.

Well, I stand corrected.
It wasn't abysmal.
It was instead a very accomplished product that, through the superb session musicianship and production managed to - mostly - rise above the inherent naffness of such a project.
Some of the songs really get under my skin, but that's not because of the songs in themselves, rather that BM were inflicted on every young mind and earhole during the late '70s to near-sadistic levels.
There was always a sense that there was weird subtext of cultural appropriation too.
And Frank Farian's/Bobby Farrell vocals were always idiotic.
Still...
The 'album tracks' were genuinely good, Rasputin is always good fun and they managed to deliver a very restrained and sweet cover of a Neil Young song.

BTW, when I was at Colville primary school on Portobello Road in the late '70s I told a girl in my class (Karen) that I didn't like Boney M. and she told me that that was because I was racist.

Also, the same girl (Karen) once accused me of being posh and knowing all long words, like, "tea".
