Interestingly it was my left boot that had a hole in it.

But I chose to remove my socks altogether and put fresh ones on.

It rained all night, so I was very surprised when I casually glanced out of the kitchen window at 5am and saw there was snow all over everything. And that it was snowing.

It still is now, but it's getting wetter and it's melting.
