Re: The Cure - Faith (1981)
This version sounds unusually fast.
I think that's because I'm playing the one I WAVed off the LP, and not the one I usually listen to which I WAVed off the Standing On A Beach tape, which I'd played so many times that it stretched.

Out of all of the other things that have ever existed.
Doesn't narrow it down much.
yes, only of the things you've ever heard, compared to all the things that have ever existed that's almost a finite number divided by a infinite number.
Therefore practically nothing.

Actually, it sounds like early New Order.

Re: The Cure - Faith (1981)
There was something about the early 80s where the bass became the lead guitar instrument.
That's lead as in most important not err. lead guitar as in single note widdly widdly non rhythm guitar...

Occurs to me that this bassline could be from a Madness song.

Yes, early New Order.
The Cure and New Order sound similar from time to time.
Sunrise off of Low-Life for example.

Re: The Cure - Faith (1981)
Actually does this have two basses on it? The Fender precision and the Bass VI fat bob appears to have?
