This version sounds unusually fast.

I think that's because I'm playing the one I WAVed off the LP, and not the one I usually listen to which I WAVed off the Standing On A Beach tape, which I'd played so many times that it stretched.

There was something about the early 80s where the bass became the lead guitar instrument.

That's lead as in most important not err. lead guitar as in single note widdly widdly non rhythm guitar...
