| High on the horror list. I don't understand why it isn't mandatory for all seagoing vessels to have a bullet and/or cyanide capsule for each person. Surely a better way to go than being trapped inside a sinking submarine/ferry whatever? Or plunged into a heaving ocean in the middle of the night. Why isn't this mandatory? Does anybody know? Don't give me all that old pony about lifeboat capacity - in cases of capsize, half of them are suddenly uphill and therefore unreachable, let alone launchable. It's a mystery to me why anyone goes out to sea at all. My fear and horror has only increased having done so, so I don't buy all that 'expose yourself to the source' boll**ks. The last time I did so, I was on my third gin before the thing had left Tangier, and was almost unable to see or walk by Algeciras. I woke up the next morning in a very stuffy hotel room above a kebab shop, with an elderly Canadian man, wearing tinsel round my neck. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kursk_submarine_disaster |

| So I was just checking out what it was Alan Andy Partridge said about J*wish conspiracies, and I saw this doozy:

| Thanks to today's "Did you know..." on the main Wikipedia page: - Quote :
- Apple maggot
The apple maggot (Rhagoletis pomonella), also known as a railroad worm (not to be confused with the Phrixothrix beetle larvae also called that), is a species of fruit fly, and a pest of several types of fruits, mainly apples.
