He wrote about spiritualism and also about the Amen-Ra mummy, and he went down on the Titanic, or rather he drowned in the icy sea after escaping from it. People put 2 and 2 together and made 500 by assuming the mummy was aboard too, and then 5 million by assuming it was salvaged by its owner and subsequently sent back on the Lusitania.
