'Tis over.

Well, that started quite well, then dragged along a bit lamely with some halfhearted, predictable covers before picking up nicely at the end.

Ultimately it was just the same old '70s-'50s karaoke jukebox drivel that so many of their contemporaries were churning out, but with the never-seeming-to-get-boring trademark Glitter Band sound elevating proceedings above and beyond.

Also, it was infinitely better than that rubbish Alvin Stardust album we did.

Now that was a con.

I've been prompted to listen to this after yesterday when I was listening to the only 70s compilation CD I've got and Angel Face came on. I wondered if it was on this album, and it is. What a Face

Well, so far so good-ish. It's fairly generic of that era, but it's lacking ~~Gary Glitter~~ someone like Marc Bolan.

It's over ~~thank goodness~~. It started off promising but it just seemed like the same over and over again, with some dire covers thrown in to briefly change the tone. It set the scene and was tolerable, but it just wasn't quirky enough like T-Rex or The Sweet or similar to make it enjoyable.
