It is over.
It was clearly all very important, or people wouldn't have recycled it, forty years later, in movies about talking chimps but, without a movie to watch along with as it was playing, it felt very aimless, samey and pointless.
Now to look back at the thread and see what everybody else made of it.

I'm not all that familiar with Edgard Varèse, so I don't really know whether it was a superior or inferior example or representation of his work.
It was mostly quite good on the face of it - although the flute one was quite boring - and reminded me (as Wendi pointed out very early) of some of the less 'easy-listenable' or main theme parts of an OST.
