Re: Towns, cities and countries you get mixed up with each other
I've been having trouble with Preston and Lancaster, because they both have M6 junctions with a river running under them, and there's a member of Other Brand Forum who frequents both without ever letting slip which one he lives in.

Wimbledon and Wembley. I still sometimes think of the other when I hear... of the other.

It'd be good if they made tennis players play at Wembley and proper, 90+ minute-long, 11-a-side football matches at Wimbledon.

I don't mix them up. Apart from a handful of letters, they couldn't be more different as areas, let alone in what goes on the sports venues in each of them. It would be like being mixed up enough to think Millwall play at Lords.

Also, the distance between Wembley and Wimbledon is roughly the same as that between Sheffield and Dudley.

I thought Sheffield and Didley were about 100 miles apart. I suppose if going between the two you might have to go through the territory of the latest groper to make the news, the wonderfully aptly named Mr Pincher, of Tamworth.

Google Maps tells me that Sheffield and Dudley are 75 miles apart and the distance can be walked in 25 hours.

It recommends three possible routes.
One goes through Chesterfield.
One goes through Cannock.

Shepherd's Bush Green is considerably more sinister and scary than Cannock Chase.

I always think of the Wogan chat show when I hear of Shepherd's Bush.

The last time I was in that theatre I nearly trod on Björk.

I always think of my favourite dealer. He was a real 24/7 man, who only sold the finest quality produce.

Cannock Chase is such a lovely name.

Preston has a potentially fabulous bus station. I have actually been in it.

I ate a Morrisons sandwich there, sitting under a tree, in June 2014. It seemed a pleasant spot and not sinister at all.

I wouldn't sit around there alone. Shepherds Bush, to me, has the unmistakable air of threat.

The Green at night is best circumnavigated.
