I quite like the first song, but was properly reminded of what, despite it's stand-out, epic leitmotifs, a largely pointless exercise the big hit actually is.
I started to enjoy On Broadway at the end, but that was just because:
a) it's a good song
b) all of the synths and strings barged their way in in grand style
Neither of these two factors have very much to do with Eric Carmen himself however.
