Still 29, but now darkness has fallen I've opened the curtains and pointed the fan at the window gap to exhaust the hot air. Already the room feels cooler.

That's a good idea.

Climbed to a "cool" 25.6 here; it might go up another notch or two but doesn't look like it'll break 26 degrees.

My bedroom peaked at 26.1 degrees tonight, .4 of a degree up on the day before.

It's supposed to be hottest here on Saturday.

I went to the Clydebank one a fortnight ago and bought 15 plastic crates, reduced to £2.20 each.

Temperature news, it was 29 in here again yesterday. But thanks to the exhaust fan/cool morning air method, it's now 26.5 .
