| Yesterday the NHOTW 5 closed at 75.6, up 4.2 points on the last quarterly quote.  BME (owners of Heron Foods) made a particularly strong showing.

| I forgot to do the quarterly quote on Oct 1st!  On Oct 19th the NHOTW 5 closed at 66.1, down 9.5 points on the last quote. The trend is downwards, but over the last 12 months that's a 15% nominal return, 8% after inflation. Which is pretty good. My own investments are down 1.9% in real terms over the same period. If only I'd invested in the NHOTW 5!

| How can it be a strong showing if it started at a baseline 100 and is now 66.1 of that? I’d sack my financial advisor for a result like that. |

I did make it clear that the performance was good over the last 12 months, not over the lifetime of the index.

| It's quarterly quote time! Yesterday the NHOTW 5 closed at 63.5, down 7.4 points on the last quote.  It would have been worse except for a strong showing by Carlsberg.
