Afro-Harping or Back-Row Parping?
Re: Dorothy Ashby - Afro-Harping (1968)
These do all sound like themes from a heist movie.
Like, when the mob assemble in Tel-Aviv and head to a cocktail lounge.

This would seem to be from the Jean Harlow biopic.

Her recordings have proven influential in various genres. The High Llamas recorded a song entitled "Dorothy Ashby" on their 2007 album Can Cladders.
I walked out of a High llamas gig once as they were so tiresomely arch and sophisticated.

They sound like a firm of estate agents.

The productions slightly too busy for background music.

There's a funny story about the bloke from them being invited to the States to play with the Beach Boys live on stage.

So far the first track was a bit of a standout wasn't it?

I was going to say they all sound like they're from a movie with that bloke in. The European man with the voice, who always played the man with the European voice.Nightjar wrote:These do all sound like themes from a heist movie.

For me, the music isn't really imparting much of a sense that Life Has Its Trials.
