My boiler's been fixed. It only took about 20 minutes.

I heard pumping going on, which I take to mean he was inflating the Expansion Vessel.

Not that I know what an Expansion Vessel is but I've heard them talked of in hushed whispers on the Internet.

You know.

It's a thing that stops these newfangled unvented hot water cylinders from exploding.

Actually though they're more middlefangled these days, as combi boilers are even more newfangled and don't need a cylinder at all.

I think the heating came on this morning.

I've got a fan heater going as I type.

And I've turned my thermostat down a whole Degree (Celsius) since last summer.

It's turned nippy here as well.

However, the sun's starting to come out. So, maybe it's going to warm up.

Still haven't ever turned on the heating in this flat.

I haven't had the heating on for a couple of months now. Hopefully that'll be it until November, or late October at the earliest.

No, by then I felt completely defiled!

Pride does indeed come before a fall, so it seems.

Still - and it remains a fact - I have never purposely turned the heating on my flat.

I've set my radiator flow temperature to 30 degrees to see what happens.

A light broil I would have thought.

Nothing interesting's happening, so far, apart from it feeling a bit cold in the room I'm in.
