I left mowing the lawns until yesterday; BBC Weather's website and app gave me full confidence that it wasn't going to rain at all. Quarter of the way through it started to drizzle, then shower, then pour.

Nonetheless I finished the lawn, wet and with a soaking mower.

Sunny and gay in an autumnal way.

It has been sunny but, in the last hour, it has clouded over.

It was sunny but cold in the morning. I had to buy some gloves from Sainsburys.

In the afternoon though heavy rain came in off the firth.

It is now sunny again.

Just in time for sunset.

Raining hard here, as I discovered when the fire alarm went off and I had to rush outside.

It was a lovely sunny day up till 11.30, but now it's cold and raining.

It was raining all night, but it's stopped now, and the sun's out. Big clouds drifting over the green hills.
