It is a beautiful clear morning here.

And there is lots of snow on the distant hills away beyond Loch Lomond. Though that was there yesterday too.

No snow here yet but it's perishing.

A fine sunny day.

It had been snowing fairly heavily all day here in the West Midlands but it hadn't been sticking until just as it was starting to go dark - then there has since been a decently deep covering all over everything. The road looks mostly icy with tracks in it.

Snow everywhere!

But not particularly deep.

I'm anxiously watching the weather radar, to see if the snow gets to the A66. So far it seems to be stopping at the hills near Shap.

Even if I get across the Pennines, there seems to be a lot of snowstorms travelling up the A1 in the Doncaster area.

The weather is currently grotesque.

It's been widdling down almost constantly since I noticed it was snurring yesterday morning.

Cold as well.

There was snow lying around Ripon yesterday, and also a lot further south, between Peterborough and Newark. Otherwise it was just raining.

Cold and rainy here in Essex today.

There's no buses running.

There's no cars on the road.

I've not even seen any animal tracks in the snow.

It's like an Antarcticapocalypse out there.

I just made that word up.

That means I own it.

Quite nice here.
