We had such a fun thread about that in the OHOTW.
Happy times.

Re: What's happening in your life? Part 3
Earlier this evening from the comfort of where I am in North Yorkshire and with the use of Google Maps I had to guide someone on their phone on an hour-long walk through London's streets to catch their train at Euston back to Birmingham. It felt like an episode of Treasure Hunt, with me as the contestant ordering Anneka Rice where to go, and the train as the goal to reach within a certain amount of time.
They made their train with minutes to spare! But I didn't win any prize money.

I have hurt my right calf, running.
I hope this doesn't put me out of the Olympics.

I try not to run these days, even when crossing the road. My insides feel like they're jangling around and it makes me feel a bit qu**r.

Several years ago there was a campaign for the "village" to split from Wolverhampton.
You should have paid a visit to Tanya's Diner on the other side of the city.
If I’d known, I might’ve. Tettnul. It was nice. Kind of looked like parts of Chiswick. Nobody told me about the lido - I’d have happily gone for a look at that.

I'm not sure "lido" was the best description. It appears to be called "Tettenhall pool", but is perhaps more just a shallow man made lake thing (when in use) for paddling.
Actually, I don't know what its true function is. But I'm sure I've seen families gathered around it on the occasions I've passed on the A41 onward to Telfordshire.

What a wholesome scene. It reminds me of the tidal pool at Maldon, before they closed it after someone drowned.

I’ve just looked up Maldon. Butterfield’s local lido looks much nicer - and cleaner. And ‘the Essex park where you can meet celebrities like Olly Murs’ isn’t much of a seller either. It’s Wolverhampton for me.

Re: What's happening in your life? Part 3
The other day, when I was kitteh-sittehn this week (I got back home earlier) I was going to Lidl on the High Street and noticed someone had left a very stylish looking chair out the front of their house.
It was a properly cool late '50s-early-'60s dining room chair with a custard coloured ye olde plastic bucket seat and four splayed legs supported by a series of deftly arranged black metal struts.
Anyway, since I was going to the shops I passed it by, but when I came back it was still there and, since it was less than 5 minutes walk away from my friend's house, I took it.
I'd considered it a stylish IKEA-style knock off of a classic design, but it was only till yesterday that I actually bothered to turn it upside down and...

Are you going to take it back? It’s possible they might not know, and also presumed it was just old trash, so will let you keep it. But it’s equally possible they know what it is and have called the police. ‘Carpet fitter/workman/cleaner having a smoke in the garden left it outside without knowing, man fitting x description going in y direction seen hurrying off with it’.

They seem to go for between £300 and £500.
