I like it.

It is over.

It was all very beautifully played and written but rarely came to life.

Now to look back at the thread and see what everybody else made of it.

Ultimately, I'd say that this and the next album "Katy Lied" were transitional - insofar as their transitional phase comprised of almost 1/3 of their albums.

Most people think both Katy Lied and (especially) Pretzel Logic are superior to CTE, but I (typically) disagree.

Also, most so-called 'people' reckon that The Royal Scam is a relatively poor entry in their canon, but (YET AGAIN!!) I disagree.

Anyway, We (by which I mean Wedni and ) have already done The Royal Scam, so, bearing in mind that I don't think Katy Lied is all that...

On reflection, it's a more challenging album than I always think it is.

I think it's because I probably cherry pick the half-or-so good songs and only half-listen to the half-or-so overlong, meanderingly self-indulgent other ones.

Like I said earlier, it's an album of audacious parts.

A 'curates egg' with korma/vindaloo tendencies.

By 2028 we should realistically be done is what I am trying to basically say.

I wonder whether anyone ever reads this sh*t I write?
