Even though I felt a strange affection for it at times. The Call of the Wendigo wrote:I shall give it 2 stars.

Well, that was pretty horrible - horrible vocals, horrible humour, generic arrangements. There was literally nothing about it that I liked.
However, I CAN see that they tried with the arrangements and production to a certain degree, giving a typical late 70s sound, which is where they score an extra half a point.
1.5/5

Is this the first one-hit wonder album we've ever done where it was clear the act deserved to be a no-hit wonder?

Coz, normally the one-hit wonder albums are revelations. The Call of the Wendigo wrote:Is this the first one-hit wonder album we've ever done where it was clear the act deserved to be a no-hit wonder?

That was an almost unclassifiable album.
Genre and song merit-wise, but it was definitely classifiable in the sense that it was an enervating listen because of the inane and capricious mercuriality of everything.
Not to mention the frequent forays into low comedy.![aristojar](/users/3715/63/33/29/smiles/2591357779.gif)

I think we should remember that the man behind this band wrote Under the Boardwalk, Ai No Corrida and all of Fox's hits. ![box](/users/3715/63/33/29/smiles/2226079238.gif)

Ai No Corrida is one of the worst, if not the worst, songs ever created (at least the version on the Quincy Jones album).
I'd rather have my penis cut off in bathtub than ever hear it again.

I'd never heard the original.
That is until about a minute ago.
It's not much better than the QJ version in truth.
But at least it's not as bad.

Chaz Jankel's second solo album was called Chasanova. ![shifty](/users/3715/63/33/29/smiles/3904149952.gif)
