For a song that exposes her vocal limitations.

That was an alright episode, with highlights by the Housemartins and Alison Moyet that weren't really highlights but were slightly better than the other tracks.
Now to look back at the thread and see what everyone else made of it.

I assume that means that Jean Guiot is Dave Stewart under a different name.
Which Dave Stewart? The boring one from the Eurthymics, or the boring one from You'll always find me in the Kitchen at Parties?
Wasn't You'll Always Find Me in the Kitchen at Parties by Jona Lomu Lewie?

The Internet tells me that the one who co-wrote the Alison Moyet song was the one from the Eurythmics.

Alison Moyet - Is This Love?
Diminished chord.
At what point in the song does this occur?

Hang on, they didn't actually name the number one single, did they pre-record this and just played it in? I though it was live?!
I don't think it has ever been live on Christmas Day. Imagine the BBC having to pay all of the artists, presenters and general behind-the-scenes staff Christmas Day rates! And I guess they didn't have time to record the broadcast between Friday's number one announcement and actual Christmas Day on Tuesday.

Brushstrokes theme!
Who knew Dexys released a song in the mid 80s. We used to watch Brush Strokes but I don't remember that being the theme.

It's about time modern artists started using pseudonyms again when writing songs for other people, rather than being a blatant featured collaborator.

That's my favourite bit
I never suspected that a diminished chord was involved. That's when you move the middle and top notes both down a step. I know, because there's one in Galaxy Song and it's difficult.
